Our Mission
Is to make work-ready individuals who are socially conscious, culturally aware, and equipped with the technology and business skills to help them excel throughout their careers
Who We Are
The McGee Turner Family Foundation was established as an Illinois not-for-profit organization and is recognized as a tax-exempt 501c3 organization by the Internal Revenue Service. Led by Ellen Rozelle Turner, the foundation was founded as a solution to the overwhelming charitable requests to her firm’s corporate giving and the recent outcry for racial justice and equity. We are also founded on servant leadership, cultural diversity, inclusion, and opportunity awareness ideals.
The goal is to help youth and adults, primarily minorities, gain exposure to viable work experience in the technology consulting sector and achieve their potential as positive contributors to their families, communities, and the world. The organization will engage in several program activities and priorities expected to benefit program participants and enhance learning and conditions.
Who We Serve
The disenfranchised communities of the Chicagoland area have been overlooked for decades. For generations, gifted minds have been deprived of the opportunity to grow into their full potential. This foundation was created to provide not only jobs to the underserved, but a mindset of hope and confidence that is crucial for developing minds. We serve the youth of these communities to not only provide them the means of uplifting themselves financially, but also mentally and spiritually.
